FICCI & GlobalLogic Launch AI Platform

Must Read

In a strategic move to empower India’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has partnered with GlobalLogic, a Hitachi group company, to launch a cutting-edge Business Resilience Platform (BRP) powered by artificial intelligence.

The initiative, launched under the FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership, aims to build stronger, more future-ready MSMEs by helping them measure and improve sustainability performance, boost supply chain transparency, and unlock access to global markets and green financing.

A Digital Compass for Sustainable Growth

The platform allows MSMEs to track progress across 49 structured indicators, using digital dashboards, readiness heatmaps, and a standardised Resilience Scorecard. These tools are designed to help businesses:

  • Benchmark performance

  • Pinpoint areas of improvement

  • Align with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks

  • Reduce environmental impact

  • Strengthen supplier credibility

The platform is particularly valuable in light of growing international requirements around sustainability and compliance for global supply chains.

Equipping MSMEs for ESG and Green Finance

Speaking on the launch, Jyoti Vij, Director General of FICCI, said, “The FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership is actively working to enhance MSMEs’ awareness and capabilities in sustainability and risk management. Through capacity building and hands-on tools, we are helping them integrate ESG principles into everyday business operations.”

Piyush Jha, Group Vice President and Managing Director for Asia-Pacific at GlobalLogic, emphasized the platform’s purpose-driven approach: “Our collaboration with FICCI brings together digital engineering excellence and industry insights to equip MSMEs with the tools needed to build resilience, navigate ESG expectations, and drive inclusive growth.”

Bridging the Knowledge Gap

The BRP goes beyond environmental metrics to also guide MSMEs in adopting best practices across risk management, digital transformation, and policy compliance. By offering peer benchmarking and personalised improvement roadmaps, it aims to turn India’s fragmented MSME sector into a globally competitive and sustainable force.

The platform will also serve as a knowledge hub where enterprises can learn from industry leaders, understand emerging regulations, and gain practical insights into navigating changing business landscapes.

Aligning With India’s Broader Sustainability Goals

The launch of the BRP is aligned with India’s push toward becoming a net-zero economy and building a sustainable industrial ecosystem. With MSMEs forming the backbone of India’s economy — contributing over 30% to GDP and employing more than 110 million people — enabling them to transition into ESG-compliant, resilient businesses is vital to national and global sustainability goals.

This AI-powered initiative stands out for offering customised, scalable, and accessible tools to even the smallest players, helping them not only survive in changing markets but thrive through innovation and forward-thinking practices.
