The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is scheming to set up as many as 20 new tech centers across India.

DC MSME is planning to establish as many as 20 TCs throughout India at an approximate fee of Rs 3600 crores. In this context, Office of Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India intends to engage the services of a CPSE as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for planning, design & tracking of civil infrastructure, procurement of machines, settlement control and presenting implementation & tracking support in established order of 20 Technology Centres across India.
Current Tech. Centers in India
Currently, there are 18 operational Technology Centres. 10 are for the tooling enterprise and 8 are for different industries consisting of ESDM (electronics machine layout and manufacturing), glass, footwear, and fragrance and flavor and sports activities. The Ministry of MSME mounted 18 Technology Centres (TCs) earlier known as Tool Rooms (10 Nos) and Technology Development Centres (8 Nos) unfold across the nation
Focus Area:
The primary focus of Tech. Centers is to encourage industries especially MSMEs in the nation through – Access to excellent manufacturing technologies; Skilling manpower by endeavoring opportunities for technical skill development to the people at different levels extending from school dropouts to graduate engineers and Implementing technical and business advisory assistance to MSME entrepreneurs.
