Dun & Bradstreet India has joined forces with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) to empower India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through enhanced business intelligence, global market access, and credibility-building initiatives. This collaboration is expected to address key challenges faced by MSMEs, such as limited access to finance, restricted global exposure, and lack of visibility, by leveraging data-driven solutions.
Strengthening MSMEs with Business Intelligence and Market Expansion
The partnership aims to provide Indian MSMEs with access to Dun & Bradstreet’s globally recognized D-U-N-S® number, a unique business identifier that enhances credibility and facilitates trade with international buyers. This move is expected to help small businesses connect with global supply chains, boost exports, and expand their market footprint.
Dun & Bradstreet India has played a pivotal role in supporting MSMEs for nearly three decades. The company’s comprehensive suite of data and analytics solutions will now be extended to NSIC-registered businesses, enabling them to make informed decisions, assess market risks, and identify new growth opportunities.
Leadership Perspectives on the Collaboration
Preeta Misra, Senior Director – Credibility & Business Insights Group, ESG and SME, Dun & Bradstreet India, emphasized the need to bridge the credibility gap that prevents many MSMEs from accessing global markets and securing financial support. She highlighted that data-backed insights and business intelligence are crucial for accelerating MSME growth, particularly as India aims to achieve its US$ 5 trillion economy target by 2027-28.
Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director – Planning and Marketing, NSIC, underscored NSIC’s mission to provide MSMEs with resources and opportunities that will enable them to compete effectively in global markets. He noted that combining NSIC’s extensive MSME network with Dun & Bradstreet’s expertise in business intelligence will create new pathways for MSME expansion and economic contribution.

By enhancing transparency, credibility, and data-driven decision-making, the partnership will enable small businesses to strengthen their operational resilience, attract investments, and integrate into global value chains.
