The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has specified an approval to advance startup cultures of the nation by running reality shows on the famous American TV show- Shark Tank
According to DIPP, the program will be shown on Doordarshan, a private entertainment channel, radio and digital media at the same time. As per the agreement, there would be one round of “screening” and two rounds of “assessment” for the new businesses to emphasize on the show.
Primarily, The applications will be sourced through focusing on youthful experts and startup founders. DIPP says that “Applications would be invited from all the states of the country. So we are expecting 10,000 applications. During a screening 2000 startups will be shortlisted “
In the first round of evaluation, shortlisted companies would take part in offline occasions, to be held in seven urban communities — Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore — where they would introduce their business strategy plans to a board of guides and financial specialists. At last, 440 startups would be reselected, among them 35 would be considered as “regional winners”.
