We can consider India as a young and dynamic country with lot many aspiring youth entrepreneurs. But the present industrial atmosphere for MSME in our country is not very healthy. There are lot many challenges for the young entrepreneurs such as Present labor laws and their compliances, Non supportive Bureaucracy, Taxation and Lack of implementation of government schemes. These few improvements on above mentioned factors can really make our country a better place for MSME’s where they can flourish along with their nation.

When did you start your UE Group Industry and what are the challenges you have been faced?

We are into manufacturing of PCC electricity poles which are used for rural electrification in Madhya Pradesh. The major customers of our product are all the State Electricity Discoms. As the strengthening of electrification works are running in full swing and central government has taken measures on priority to make 100% electrified country and hence these poles are used for the same. We are having 5 manufacturing units in various region of Madhya Pradesh. We also have our in-house logistic system which caters all our customers with FORD deliveries. We started our company in the year 1975 with four partners, thereafter it reduced to two .We started this company under then announced a government scheme for unemployed engineers for running of PCC pole factories of Madhya Pradesh electricity board on lease basis. We were given the complete infrastructure on “as is where is” basis. We have really struggled a lot in bringing the completely ruined set up into a running condition.

We have faced many challenges such as availability of economical land, Difficulty in availing Financial assistance, Complicated government policies, Tax system, 24 hrs supply of power, Lack of skilled labor, Inspector Raaj, Poor infrastructure, Inadequate system of recovery of payments from defaulter customers, delayed payments from government.

Along with all these challenges we have also faced lot many challenges while starting our business career as the industry of PCC poles was new to us and not many  know how was available. As said that “Necessity is the mother of invention”,Lot many things were designed and created by us and finally we were able to bring the ruined setup into a proper functional format, producing a quality product. There after we have increased our production capacity and manufacturing plants in all over Madhya Pradesh.
