On this episode of Startup Duniya, we interviewed the CEO and Founder of Jupitice Justice Technologies Mr. Raman Aggarwal.

Jupitice Justice Technologies, based in Chandigarh, has built the country’s first private digital platform for virtual arbitration, conciliation, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The company has created an online service marketplace for the dispute resolution industry that includes a platform for identifying arbitrators, mediators, and other justice service providers, as well as an end-to-end ADR process that is completely online and does not involve any physical interaction.

The company is founded by Mr Raman Aggarwal, and it has an advisory board that includes Hon. Justice Vikramjit Sen, Hon. Justice Arijit Pasayat, Hon. Justice Gyan Sudha Misra, among many other former judges of Supreme Court, and Chief Justice of High Courts.

“It is a new justice order in which all parties are satisfied. Unlike litigation, justice through ADR procedures is swift, less stressful, cost-effective, and results in a mutual settlement while retaining a strong business relationship, according to Raman Aggarwal, Jupitice’s Founder and CEO.

There are around 32.2 million ongoing cases throughout all courts, according to the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG). In the Supreme Court, there are around 1.5 lakh cases and 4.8 million cases in 25 high courts.

Similarly, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) recently released data showing that 4,008 cases have been recorded under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) since its inception, with 1,942 cases currently pending in various NCLTs.

Many parties are likely to seek alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as a means of resolving their disagreements in light of these factors.
