AP Chambers Urges Release of MSME Incentives

Must Read

The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers) has urged the state government to expedite the release of long-pending incentives owed to enterprises in the MSME and food processing sectors, which together form the foundation of the state’s industrial ecosystem.

In a recent statement, AP Chambers President P. Bhaskar Rao highlighted that the delay in disbursing these incentives has strained the liquidity of small and medium businesses, many of which are facing challenges due to rising input costs, supply chain pressures, and fluctuating market conditions.

Incentive Delay Affecting MSME Stability

According to the federation, delayed payments are impacting the ability of MSMEs to maintain working capital, retain employees, and sustain production. These enterprises—often operating on thin margins—depend heavily on state incentives to stay competitive and reinvest in modernization.

Mr. Rao emphasized that the timely release of dues would not only provide financial relief to hundreds of businesses but also revitalize the state’s industrial sentiment. He warned that prolonged delays risk undermining both operational continuity and employment stability within the sector.

The federation also underscored that the food processing industry, which has been instrumental in adding value to agricultural produce and creating rural employment, requires similar support to expand operations and attract new investments.

Timely Action Crucial Ahead of Investment Summit

AP Chambers has requested that the state government release the pending incentives by October, ahead of the CII Partnership Summit 2025, scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15. The industry body believes that addressing this issue promptly would send a strong signal of stability and responsiveness to both domestic and international investors attending the summit.

Mr. Rao expressed optimism that the government will prioritize the matter, setting a new benchmark in industrial and farmer welfare. He reiterated that releasing the incentives will demonstrate Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and ensuring sustained growth across sectors.

Strengthening Investor Confidence and Growth

The appeal by AP Chambers aligns with broader efforts to strengthen the MSME ecosystem and attract manufacturing investment into Andhra Pradesh. Industry leaders have consistently highlighted that predictable policy execution and timely financial support are essential for fostering trust, employment, and inclusive growth.

By addressing these long-standing issues before the upcoming summit, the state has the opportunity to reaffirm its industrial leadership and position itself as a preferred destination for sustainable investment.
