MSMEs account for 24% women’s participation than others

MSME businesses are accelerating at a very rapid pace in India right

of women day by day. The increase in the MSME workforce led by
women is constantly fostering a likelihood of women entrepreneurs
emerging out of the existing businesses and also venturing out to start
their own enterprises. There are many organizations led by the
Government and also many private NGOs are helping women
entrepreneurs set up their own businesses by availing them access to
location and capital.

The Indian Government has steadily amplified the process of MSME
registrations in the recent years. This has helped many of the MSMEs in
availing the MSME schemes and MSME benefits for the development of
their businesses. Women entrepreneurs have had a tremendous impact
on India’s social and economic demographics as a result of their

participation in the labor field, which has resulted in the development

MSME Schemes for women :
1.) Savings account and loan benefits.
2.) Bhartiya Mahila Bank (BMB) business lending scheme, for example,
is aimed towards women who want to start their own company.
3.) Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana helps the women entrepreneurs get
loans ranging from Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 10 Lakh.
4.) Women can borrow up to Rs 50,000 under the Annapurna scheme
5.) Udyogini scheme and the Cent kalyani scheme also benefit the
women entrepreneurs that want to establish their businesses within
the MSME sector.
6.) Dena Shakti Scheme helps the women entrepreneurs who are involved
in agriculture, manufacturing, micro-credit, retail stores or similar enterprises
to avail loan under this scheme. Under the micro-credit category, loans
offered are up to Rs 50,000 with a concession of 0.25% on rate of interest.
Loans of up to Rs 20 Lakhs are sanctioned under the category of education,
housing and retail trading. There are many other MSME benefits for women
entrepreneurs operating in the MSME sector. All the MSMEs run by women
entrepreneurs can avail these benefits by registering themselves with the
Ministry of MSMEs and be up to date with all the provisions and upcoming
events. There is an intense demand for talent in the sales and development
domain of the MSME sector. The increase in the number of women’s
participation in the MSME sector has also revealed the need for establishment
of safety and security measures for the welfare of the women workers.

The MSME industry has yet to see its golden period. This is just the
formative years of the massive industry in the making. Once there is
sufficient alignment within the broader businesses areas of the MSME
