Top officials, including Velladurai Jt Director MSME, J&K, and Dr. Saad Parvez, Head of IIEDC, emphasized MSMEs’ pivotal role as major employment generators in the region. The programme delved into technological interventions aimed at revitalizing traditional crafts, with a particular focus on artisanal industries like willow wicker and handicrafts. Experts discussed the potential of design innovation schemes in augmenting the quality and marketability of indigenous products.

Academic institutions, including IIM Jammu, pledged support for skill development initiatives and MSME projects. They reiterated their readiness to collaborate with local entrepreneurs, leveraging their expertise and resources for the region’s socio-economic advancement.
