Tamil Nadu Unveils TNGSS Summit App for Networking

In a major step towards enabling digital convenience and ecosystem participation, Tamil Nadu MSME Minister T.M. Anbarasan launched the mobile application for the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025 at a stakeholder meeting in Coimbatore. The app is designed to empower summit participants with event access, networking features, and AI-powered matchmaking capabilities.

The launch was followed by an interactive session with stakeholders from various sectors, including industrialists, incubators, academic institutions, and startup founders, reinforcing Tamil Nadu’s commitment to promoting a vibrant innovation ecosystem.

Summit to host over 750 startup exhibitors and global stakeholders

The TNGSS 2025, scheduled for October 9–10 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, is poised to be one of India’s largest startup summits. The event will feature:

  • Over 750 startup exhibitors

  • 500 investor pitches and speed meetings

  • 11 masterclasses from industry leaders like Google, Meta, and Zoho

  • Delegates and ecosystem players from 39 countries

  • Participation from unicorn founders, state innovation missions, and accelerators

The summit is expected to generate over ₹100 crore in startup investments, underscoring Tamil Nadu’s ambition to become a national leader in innovation and startup development.

App features to enhance summit experience for startups and MSMEs

The newly launched mobile app provides a complete digital guide to the summit. Key features include:

  • Access to speaker profiles, session schedules, pavilions, and masterclasses

  • AI-enabled matchmaking to connect startups with investors and partners

  • Options to schedule meetings, join exhibitions, and track networking outcomes

With features tailored for MSMEs, early-stage startups, and growth-stage innovators, the app aims to ensure every attendee—from entrepreneurs to corporate leaders—can maximise their participation and forge impactful connections.

Government’s focus on digital-first startup ecosystem

Minister Anbarasan noted that the summit reflects Tamil Nadu’s rising influence in India’s startup landscape, driven by its StartupTN initiative and favourable industrial policies. “We are focused on building a future-ready startup ecosystem, not just for Tamil Nadu but for the entire nation,” he said.

StartupTN CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan highlighted that the app and summit aim to democratise access to investment, learning, and ecosystem participation.

Other dignitaries present included Additional Chief Secretary Atul Anand, Coimbatore District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, and CODISSIA President Karthikeyan.

The mobile app is expected to be a game-changer for summit participants, especially for startup founders from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, by simplifying access and boosting visibility.
