Union Minister for MSME, Narayan Rane, lauded the remarkable surge in women entrepreneurship within the MSME sector during the 9th Shakti International Women Entrepreneurs Summit held in New Delhi. With over 1.40 crore MSMEs now led by women, Rane expressed immense pride in this unprecedented rise. Notable figures such as S.C.L. Das, Secretary, Anna Roy, Senior Advisor at Niti Aayog, Mercy Epao, JS – SME, and Dr. Ishita Ganguli Tripathy, Additional Development Commissioner, Office of DC-MSME, joined women entrepreneurs, industry experts, and government leaders at this event.

Empowering Women MSMEs: Initiatives Unveiled

The summit marked the launch of three significant initiatives aimed at propelling women entrepreneurs to greater heights. The first initiative, “Panjikaran Se Pragati,” is a joint campaign by the Ministry of MSME and Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), urging women entrepreneurs to register with Udyam for expanded opportunities. Furthermore, this campaign aims to unlock a realm of opportunities for women entrepreneurs nationwide.

The second initiative, “WEP Unnati- Udyamita se Pragati tak,” is a collaborative program focused on elevating Women MSMEs through the Award-to-Reward (ATR) scheme. This program provides comprehensive capacity-building support via WEP, empowering women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses effectively.

Mentorship Platform and Celebrating Success

The third initiative is the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). It’s a mentorship platform, aimed at providing guidance and support to aspiring women entrepreneurs. This platform serves as a valuable resource for women seeking mentorship and advice on navigating the entrepreneurial landscape.

The annual Shakti International Women Entrepreneurs Summit is held in observance of International Women’s Day.
